Homeless Tartan Mask Sales Rocket

Since First Minister, Nicola Sturgeon wore our Homeless Tartan face mask, she kept getting asked what the tartan was and where people could buy one.

A couple of social media posts later, we found ourselves in the unlikely situation of having 15 thousand mask orders to fulfill in just a few days.

It is good news for Shelter Scotland - 20% of every sale goes to the the charity, with the total raised approaching £30000 so far across all our Homeless tartan products.

The tweet that set it all off…

The power of social media is obviously very strong as illustrated here but if it wasn’t for our fast diversification we would never been in this position.

Our small team of machinists had been working tirelessly to provide scrubs for the NHS during the covid pandemic so we decided to make the masks available to the public.

Of course, it is not just the Homeless Tartan that we make our masks from, which is just as well because we can hardly make them fast enough so keep up with orders.
