Craig Ferguson Makes it to Munich
You may have noticed travel vlogger Craig Ferguson on the news recently or perhaps you followed him every step of the way on his mammoth charity walk to Germany. We were delighted to see him arrive in Munich yesterday, welcomed by hundreds of revellers and press, after walking over 1000 miles from Hampden Park all those days ago.
It was back on 4th May that Craig began walking to Munich to coincide with the opening game of the competition to raise money for Brothers in Arms, a Scottish charity who are dedicated to reducing male suicide. You can read all about their pioneering work on the Brothers in Arms website.
When Craig finished his challenge he had already reached his target of raising £50K for the charity. As I write this, the total is over £60K so who knows where it will end? You can donate to Craig’s total and monitor his fund-raising progress Here.
We congratulate Craig for all his hard work and admire the way he went about his challenge, with humility, determination.and with a smile on his face.
In true Scottish style he will be kilted up, so everyone knows exactly where he’s from, and Slanj had the ideal tartan for the occasion.
The Euros tartan has been designed as a vibrant homage to Scotland's Euros achievement; each thread of the tartan weaves together the team's footballing journey, drawing inspiration from the flags of Scotland's Group A opponents – Germany, Switzerland, and Hungary, while the dark blue backdrop echoes the iconic colours of the Scottish football strip.
As passionate kilt makers, we take immense pride in crafting a new tartan to commemorate the remarkable journey of the Scottish football team in the Euros. If the team show as much spirit and determination as Craig, then they might just make history.
For more info on the Euros tartan, read our Euros Tartan Blog or check out our Euros Tartan Products to see our selection of leisurewear in the tartan.
Slanj will donate 20% of every sale of the Euros tartan to Brothers in Arms but if you want to donate directly you can do so via Craig’s Just Giving Page.
